After we all ring in 2015 with family and friends, I’m sure many of us will begin our new year resolutions or goals.
I thought this would be a perfect time to start writing my blog because I wanted to create a realist perspective on food and fitness. I used to set the following new year resolutions for myself: I am going to workout EVERY SINGLE DAY. I am going to only eat whole natural foods. Candy or sweets only once a week. Never ever drinking again (Ha!).
In a week or two I would realize i did not make realistic new year resolutions and I would give up. So this year, 2015 I advise you to not make a ‘resolution’ but make a lifestyle change or commitment to yourself to take better care of your body and/or educate yourself on food, nutrition, and fitness. And I myself will do the same.
I am just an average woman and this blog is designed so you know that you don’t have to eat paleo, be all natural, or holistic to live a healthy lifestyle. I want to show you some fitness fundamentals for strength, workouts, and some of my favorite recipes. But don’t worry, I will not only be posting my favorite healthy meals, but also my favorite indulgences as well. I could never live without cookies and cupcakes because I love spending the time in the kitchen baking them and they taste so freakin’ good! I want you to know that you don’t need to deprive yourself to be healthy, just know all about moderation.
Happy New Year! I look forward to sharing my life with you!
