Life has been pretty crazy here with vacations, then coming home and only having a few days of summer left before it’s time to go back to school. Each day my mind is full of things I want to do to get ready for the school year while also trying to finish my summer to do list. Does anyone actually complete a summer to do list?!? I sure didn’t, but oh well. Today I thought I would get a little personal and share a ‘currently’ questionnaire. I got the idea and questions from reading My Food and Fitness Diaries blog and thought it would be fun and something different.
Current TV Show: Bachelor in Paradise. I have been obsessed with The Bachelor since high school so of course I am going to watch when they bring a bunch of single men and women to Mexico to find love. For those of you that are watching, what do you think of this season so far? Do they make Ashley S seem crazy and she’s really not? When is Ashley I going homeee?!? And how sweet is Tinley, I hope she finds love!
Current Exercise: I got this Ab exercise from following Alexajeanfitness on Instagram, it’s the last exercise in the series she does in the video link below. I don’t know if this exercise has an official name, but you start in a plank position with your abs engaged then raise your booty up and go up on your toes and then back to a plank position. Total killer for those lower abdominals! I have been incorporating this exercise in several workouts throughout the week.

Current Indulgence: I made these S’more Cupcakes for a get together this weekend. They were so good, graham cracker crust, chocolate cupcake, and marshmallow frosting! I used this recipe from Baked by Rachel with a few slight modifications.
Current Nail Color: Uh Nothing. Anyone else find it impossible to keep nail polish on unless you get a gel manicure? I have tried using vinegar on my nails before I paint them and all different top coats. But within days they are ruined….
Current Food: If you follow me on Instagram you probably see a lot of my current food obsessions. One of them is Late July Organic tortilla chips. I have tried the sweet potato, multi-grain, and blue corn. They are all delicious and made with real ingredients! I try to buy healthy snacks, that way I won’t over indulge because in my head I think about how they are more expensive than other snack choices. Tortilla chips are probably my favorite snack ever!
Current Wish List: I saw this shirt on Instagram and thought it was super cute and I really want to buy it. All the shirts from this Etsy shop are really cute and look super comfortable: Sweet Ts Design Shoppe
Current Workout: Aside from the typically running and body weight exercises, in June I started going to a yoga class once a week. Before this I would maybe do yoga a few times a year. I have always really enjoyed how I feel after yoga and now that I am doing it consistently I have noticed a HUGE difference in my flexibility. I really like the class I go to because the instructor goes through a few movement sections, stretches, balance moves, and then does some relaxation at the end. I highly recommend trying yoga for anyone like myself who runs a lot or does high impact workouts, it’s a great way to recover on your days off.
Current Bane of my Existence: Dog hair! It’s everywhere. Being home all day all I do is notice it and then I get distracted because I have to vacuum it up. It drives me nuts! This is our guest bed, she thinks it’s her bed, and I can’t keep the hair off of it!
Current Drink: Again, I posted this on Instagram, these Bai5 fresh fruit flavored drinks are so good! They are naturally sweetened with Stevia and only have 10 calories in the entire bottle. I usually have one after being in the sun at the pool or walking the dog in the heat because they are so refreshing. They also make great mixers 😉
Current Link: 7 Sugar Rules I Follow Every Day. Now we all know I have a serious sweet tooth, but I try to keep added sugars out of my diet as much as possible with only an occasional indulgence which is usually something I make at home. This web article was interesting because there are so many ways companies hide sugar in foods without actually calling it ‘sugar’ on the ingredients list. And she talks about how our bodies digest sugar as opposed to other nutrients.
Now it’s your turn!
What’s your current….
