I say it after almost every single meal, “I just want something sweet”.  Typically I’m able to curb my sweet tooth with fruit, yogurt, or dark chocolate.  But it’s especially difficult around the holidays when baking holiday cookies and treats are a tradition.  And lets be real, when you’re surrounded by so many sweet treats having just one cookie turns into two, three, four …….  But maybe you don’t crave the desserts like me but too often you go for a second helping of any meal  just because the food is there.  Or maybe in between meals you have difficulty distracting yourself from snacking on chips, crackers, or other non-nourishing foods.  It’s seriously all just a mind game and can be controlled!  Whether you are trying to lose weight or maintain I have been given the opportunity to tell you about a great product called MealEnders that can help you curb overeating habits and teach portion control.

MealEnders

MealEnders are lozenges that you can have at the end of a meal or in-between meals.  They are designed to help you avoid overeating or keep you from snacking throughout the day or late at night.  I have eaten a lozenge to avoid raiding the pantry for some chocolate or a sweet treat after dinner and on the weekends when I don’t have work to distract myself from cravings.  I am really pleased with the taste of MealEnders, they are very satisfying and divert your mind from craving more food or dessert.  They come in four delicious flavors, cinnamon, mint chocolate, citrus, and mocha.  I seriously can’t pick a favorite!

MealEnders

I know what you might be thinking, how are they any different than a mint or gum?  I was thinking the same thing, but once I tried a lozenge I was shocked by all the sensations going on in my mouth.  Each lozenge has a sweet outer layer while the inner layer has a cooling/tingling core.  The outer layer is designed to taste like a dessert, which it does, and the inner layer is to help cleanse your palate.  And they can last for as long as 20 minutes which is about the amount of time it takes your body to feel full and is considered the ‘overeating zone’.  So by the end of the lozenge your cravings are satisfied, you have a cooling sensation in your mouth, and you have realized you’re probably to full to eat anymore anyway.  Some other facts about MealEnders is that one lozenge only has 2 grams of sugar and 15 calories.  And they are free of stimulants and any other ‘diet’ ingredients.

MealEnders

I am so happy I have these lozenges for the Holidays when I am traveling.  GIVEAWAY ALERT: And you could win (4) 25-piece packs so you can try all the flavors to kickstart your new year with healthy eating and learn to control yourself from overeating.  All you have to do is follow MealEnders on Twitter @MealEnders and/or Instagram and leave me a comment below that you follow them and I will enter your name in a drawing.   I will choose and announce a winner on Saturday December 19th.
