Happy Friday! My this week has been long, but I am so excited it’s almost the weekend and the weather has finally started to feel like Spring. How many experienced snow in April last weekend? So crazy. This weekend I am waking up early Saturday morning for a Flywheel spin class, read my Flywheel Class Review. Then I am attending the DC Brew Fest with a few friends at Nationals Park. Workout and beer, count me in!
Not only am I so excited that today is Friday and I have fun plans for this weekend but I am also thrilled to bring you today’s Friday Favorites. Literally a lot of thought goes into each and every post I write and I could not wait to share these products with you any longer. Without further ado…..
Rodan and Fields Skincare: I always told myself at 25 I would start taking really good care of my skin to prevent aging, three years later I was still using drugstore face wash, wipes, and was like microderma-WHAT….. Then my friend Jocelyn started selling Rodan and Fields products because she was extremely happy with her results from using their skincare line herself. Rodan and Fields has quickly become the fastest growing skincare brand. They are the creators of Proactive and decided to develop a skincare line to address four different skin concerns (aging skin, skin sensitivity, acne, and sun damage). I have been using the Reverse regimen (face wash, toner, brightening cream, sunscreen) and the Multi-function Eye Cream for my dark circles for almost three months now. They say it takes about 60 days to really notice a difference in your skin and I definitely noticed within the first few weeks. I have always been self conscious of a few dark spots on my face and nose, after using the Reverse regimen I have noticed many of my spots have disappeared or became lighter. Below is a time lapse of a girl and her results from using Reverse. I was also very pleased with the eye cream. I’m awake super early and usually pretty stressed throughout the day and have recently gotten significant dark circles under my eyes, literally I looked like a raccoon without make up. But since I have been using the cream the circles are much less noticeable and it also helps with puffiness and crows feet. Overall my skin feels much softer and brighter and looks younger which makes me so much happier when I look in the mirror. And I feel as though I’m protecting my skin from the aging process. These products really work! I’ve never used a skin care line and noticed such a significant difference. Just check out some of these before and after photos.
Rodan and Fields also sells other skincare products, I have used the Foaming Sunless Tanner and am obsessed! Sunless tanners have come so far. I have always feared them because thinking back to high school, I would use a sunless tanner and my hands and feet would become orange and I smelled like a tropical paradise. This is so not the case with this foaming tanner. It goes on easy, is super subtle (you can reapply to get a darker tone), and did not leave any part of my body orange. I am so excited I have this product so I can spend less time by the pool trying to get a summer tan.
If you think you might be interested in finding more information about the Rodan and Fields Skincare products contact my best friend and consultant Jocelyn. You could either message her on Facebook, email her email@example.com, or use the Rodan and Fields Solution Tool to get a personal consultation and read more about the products before contacting her. She will listen to your skin concerns and suggest the best products for you.
Protein Nut Butters. I was at Vitamin Shoppe the other day and picked up one my favorite protein butters, Buff Bakes Cookie Butter and decided to try a few others. I bought sample packs of their White Chocolate and Chocolate Chip because I haven’t tasted those flavors yet. I also tried Nuts ‘N More’s Salted Caramel Protein Peanut Butter, this one might be my new favorite. I could already eat spoon fulls of any nut butter but add some protein and extra flavor, YUM! I love these nut butters themselves as dessert, as a snack on toast, or with fruit, and I recently tried them in overnight oats or warm oatmeal (highly suggest!).
Blue Diamond Crackers. You think Blue Diamond you only think almonds right? Wrong! They now make a line of Nut-Thins Crackers that I recently became a huge fan of. I always have some of these crackers in the house for wine and cheese nights. I’m personally a fan of the Artisan flax and sesame seed varieties. I’m an even bigger fan of the fact that they have no crazy ingredients. Way to keep it simple and delicious Blue Diamond.
Batiste Dry Shampoo. I try to only wash my hair a few times a week. And with working out and the weather getting warmer, I need the best dry shampoo. I recently saw this Batiste Dry Shampoo on The Today show and picked some up at Target and am in love. By far the best I’ve tried and it was only $5. WIN!
The Mason Jar Cookie Company. I have a sweet little surprise for you coming to the blog next week. But until then all I can say is you need to check out these cute little cookie mixes from The Mason Jar Cooke Company . I am a firm believer any baked good tastes a million times better when it’s home made and from real ingredients. These jars make it easy so anyone can be a master baker. They have all sorts of varieties of cookies, brownies, muffins, etc. And they come packaged so beautifully. They make a great and easy gift for any occasion, but I also want a bunch of them for myself because all the varieties sound so delicious!
Around the Web:
Egg White Pizza Bake by Julie. Yum I pretty much love anything that resembles pizza!
Here’s how much Protein you should be Eating and Why by MindBodyGreen. A few years ago I read a similar article and realized I wasn’t eating nearly enough protein to help with the muscle development I was hoping for from strength training. You might be surprised that you’re not eating nearly enough protein as well.
Thanks to Heather for today’s Friday Favorites link up.
