Hello friends! Can you believe summer is finally here! Schools are out, the weather is warming up, and I know many of us are thinking about the 4th of July coming up in only a few short weeks.
I recently got the chance to review one of The Mason Jar Cookie Company’s new mixes called The Patriot Mix. This jar is particularly special because Mason Jar Cookies partnered with Hope for the Warriors to create this delicious Patriotic cookie mix. Hope for the Warriors is an organization whose mission is to provide support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources. They are an organization that is dedicated to serving those who have served. Within the last year they have provided several families with financial assistance, saved military households from eviction, and provided utility services to households. They also host many events throughout the year that unite military communities and their supporters to raise funds and awareness for our service members and their families.
Within the last year we have heard and learned so much about the sacrifices our service members make and the situations they are quickly put into. One of the most realistic things for me has been watching movies such as 13 Hours, Lone Survivor, and American Snipper. I know these are just movies, but just from watching these true stories and other news specials I can’t help but think about how hard it must be for our service members to come home from some of their stations overseas and try to return to normal life.
With so many distractions going on in our world today I think it’s not only important to recognize our service members at patriotic holidays, but all year long. And Mason Jar Cookies has been supporting veterans since the start up of their company. Their first co-packer was the Mid Hudson Workshop, they hire veterans and they are now also making the Hope for the Warriors branded private labels in their workshop as well.
I love that Mason Jar Cookies is also donating a portion of the proceeds from their Patriot Mix to support our veterans and the Hope for the Warriors organization. The mix is a traditional cookie base with red, white, and blue candy coated chocolate and red, white, and blue star shaped sprinkles. How cute for your 4th of July or Labor Day BBQ!
I made my mix the other night and I just love how easy these cookies are to bake. All you need is one stick of melted butter, one egg, and an optional 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. You don’t need any fancy baking skills to whip up a batch of these. I had these cookies plated, ready to eat in well under an hour, and enjoyed snacking on them the rest of the evening. Homemade cookies are just so much better than anything store bought. Something about the buttery, sugary, warm taste! These cookies will not last very long in our house!
The Patriot Mix cookies make the perfect dessert for any summer party you’re planning or attending, they also are an adorable gift because all the ingredients are perfectly layered and tightly packed in the Mason Jar. Be sure to check out all of Mason Jar Cookies other creations on their website as they have a special treat for almost any holiday or celebration.
How do you show support for our service members?
What’s your favorite sweet treat to bring to a Summer gathering?

I’m a Marine Corps wife and always appreciate the appreciation that companies and people show our military. Non-profits like Hope for the Warriors can make all the difference in people’s lives!
