Happy hump day friends.  I hope you are having a fantastic week filled with positive vibes, good food, and you’re finding time to fit in some workouts.  How’s that last one going for ya?  I know it’s October and the last thing on most of your minds is trying to get a killer core, because bikini season is over.  But let me tell you a few things about your abdominal muscles.  They are there, they really are, for most of us they’re just small or hiding.  Abs are truly made in the kitchen.  If you want abs you have to eat a clean and healthy diet with carbs, protein, and healthy fats (click the link to see what I ate while on the 21 Day Fix Meal Plan which portions each of these food groups). And the last thing about abs is if you want them in the Summer you better start making it a habit of exercising and working on them NOW.  Building muscle takes time, more time and effort than most people are willing to put in.  But with this Killer Abs Circuit Workout all I’m asking for is 20 minutes.

Killer Abs Circuit Workout. Exercises to help strengthen your core.

Today I am linking up with Nicole for Wild Workout Wednesday to share one of my favorite ways to end a workout, with a good ab session.  I like to choose five exercises and do each for about 45 seconds then I rest for 15 seconds before moving onto the next exercise.  Now if you do this at the end of any cardio or strength training workout, know that during almost any exercise you are working your core.  I just like to spend a little extra time on it a few times a week.

If you do this whole workout the way it’s written it will take you just under 20 minutes and your abs will be on FIRE by the end.  I have been doing this ab routine at least once a week, occasionally switching up the exercises and within time I started noticing a significant difference in my core strength.  Feel free to change or modify any of the exercises.  I just like the circuit of 45 seconds work and 15 seconds rest when doing abs, because you REALLY start feeling it those last few seconds.  And yes sometimes I do have to stop and rest for a second during the work time, but I don’t give up, I take a deep breath and get right back in it.  And you can do this too!

    This would leave my abs on fire! Great workout! Before this summer I’d say I worked out more in the cooler months but I’ve tuned to the gym more this summer. I fell in love with working on legs. IDK why I’m trying now to find balance between my strength training and training for fall half’s.

      So hard to find balance between running and strength training. I used to run all the time, but now I love lifting. But that’s bound to change. It’s just so important to be switching up your workouts.
