The Holidays are only a few days away! And I’m so excited because we only have two more work days and then we get to enjoy some time off with friends and family. Thursday afternoon my husband, Blitz (our dog), and I will be heading to Cleveland to spend a little time with my parents and sisters. Then on Christmas Eve we’ll drive to Buffalo, NY to visit Tom’s family. It’s A LOT of driving but well worth it with all the quality time we get to spend with the people we love.
One thing is for sure though when I’m spending so much time in the car I NEED to get my body moving whenever I travel. Usually between getting a pass at a local gym, running, doing a Beachbody On Demand workout or one of my own I can get some fitness in whenever I’m away from home. For many different types of workouts from cardio to strength training you can check out my Fitness Page, but since it’s Christmas time I thought it would be fun to do a themed workout.
This workout goes like the Song “The 12 Days of Christmas”, so you’ll do 1 Burpee with Push-up, then 2 Sumo Squats and 1 Burpee with Push-up, then 3 Star Jumps, 2 Sumo Squats, 1 Burpee with Push up, and so on. I would also recommend going through two to three times to make it a more challenging workout. What I love about all these exercises is you are working your entire body and it requires NO Equipment. So it’s perfect for those of you that are traveling and don’t have access to a gym or weights this holiday season. There is a picture for each exercise below. Let me know if you try it!
If you’re searching for last minute gifts be sure to check out my Gift Guide for the Fitness Lover or if you still need to bake some Holiday Goodies I listed all my favorite recipes here. But be sure to take some time to enjoy the last few days before Christmas.
I won’t be back until next Tuesday so I can be with my family. Be sure to follow me on Instagram where you can keep up with our travels, or mostly food pics, hehe.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Holiday!
