Hello Friends! How are you today? Excited for the weekend? I sure am! After being away last weekend in Virginia I’m looking forward to getting a few things done around the house and furniture shopping for my office space. Nothing too exciting, but that’s the way I like it sometimes. Friday is the day I typically share with you all the items I’ve been loving lately for Friday Favorites. Feel free to tell me something you’ve been enjoying in the comments below!

Epic Bars

I recently noticed these in my grocery store and had to try them! Epic makes gluten-free, Paleo, dairy free, products that use Grass-Fed meat. These bars are a mixture of meat, fruit, and nuts for a savory high protein snack. They come in a variety of meat flavors such as turkey, chicken, beef, and bacon. I love that they are low in sugar but contain healthy fats and protein. I’ve been enjoying them as an afternoon snack when hunger strikes before dinner. I also want to try the Epic Bites since I do love any type of jerky.

Beachbody On Demand

Many of you know that I am a HUGE fan of the Beachbody workouts which is why I became a coach. Which means I must tell you about my favorite fitness deal Beachbody is currently promoting. Through February you can purchase an Annual On Demand All Access Pass for $99.95. This will give you access to workouts such as The 21 Day Fix, Extreme, Country Heat, Insanity Max 30, Core De Force, and many more for the entire year. You will also get access to any of the new programs that are released throughout the year. I use my On Demand at least a few times a week. I love being able to workout in my own home and have awesome trainers like Autumn Calabrese and Sean T motivating me. If you think you might be interested I would love for you to connect with me through my page or use this affiliate link.

Tangle Teezer

Having long hair, whenever I come out of the shower my hair is typically in a giant knot. Don’t get me wrong, I always use my special blonde shampoo similar to the purple shampoo by SEVEN to keep it in good health, but it still manages to get in a knot somehow, haha. Anyway, my friends over at Tangle Teezer recently sent me the Original Tangle Teezer along with a travel On-the-Go Brush. I love using them to help untangle my hair when it’s wet. And even like using it to brush my hair when dry. They easily work through your hair without pulling or hurting your head. And aren’t these designs so adorable!

Living Proof Dry Shampoo

I try to only wash my hair a few times a week, mostly just because it makes life easier and saves me time in the morning. But after a sweaty workout my hair is usually pretty greasy. Last year I shared Batiste dry shampoo as one of my Friday Favorites and this year I have a new fav. Living Proof Dry Shampoo not only smells AMAZING, I swear it adds extra volume to my hair. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey. I use Living Proof on the weekends and save the cheaper dry shampoos for during the work week when I don’t worry about my hair as much. If you have been searching of the perfect dry shampoo it’s definitely worth the price though.

Sleep Like an Athlete

Part of overall wellness is not just exercising and eating right, it’s also getting enough sleep. I know I most definitely am not as focused and my muscles don’t feel as relaxed if I don’t have at least 7-8 hours. I know some people find it hard to fall asleep even after a good workout. If you fall under that category, you might want to consult a sleep doctor lawrenceville or where it is local to you. Good quality sleep can improve your life greatly. I love how this graphic shares the restorative benefits of sleep throughout the four stages.

Most nights as soon as my head hits the pillow I’m out, maybe only waking once because of my new GhostBed mattress. My husband likes the Casper mattress, the provider of the infographic above, but to each their own. I recommend reading up and seeing what mattress is best for you through sources like Review.org. I think keeping a consistent sleep schedule is important. Even on the weekends I try to wake up earlier and follow the same bedtime. But I would still love to incorporate more of these Sleep Routines of Athletes to truly perform my best and Sleep Better.

113 Killer Push Up Variations. I most definitely get tired of doing traditional push-ups in any workout. The last few weeks I’ve been working on incline and staggered push-ups. I haven’t many of the others and am excited to add other variations.

I have to try that dry shampoo—I’ve tried Batiste and it didnt do anything for me. I think its because my hair gets greasy in like one day haha.
I’ve been loving baked oatmeal with peanut butter on these chilly mornings!

Yes you definitely need to give dry shampoo a try. I usually spray it then sometimes blow dry a bit and it works well.

It’s so fun finding different ways to do push-ups. And it’s neat to hear that you really like those EPIC bars; I don’t think I’ve seen them in any stores near me, but I do want to try them. At first I’m always kind of skeptical of savoury bars (because I have such a bad sweet tooth), but I need to get over that skepticism and try.

They have cranberry and nuts, so they almost just tasted like a meaty trail mix. I can’t wait to try some of the other varieties, let me know what you think!
