Good Morning!  Before I get to today’s post, I want to say that my heart goes out to everyone in FL and all the countries affected by Hurricane Irma.  We are thinking of you.  I almost felt guilty walking outside in in the sun and in cooler Fall temperatures this weekend knowing what’s going on south of us.  And today is also 9/11 a time to remember all those lives lost years ago.

After the first week of school last week, I was really looking forward to a restful and relaxing weekend.  And that it was.  Once leaving work on Friday I headed home to finish cleaning house and get changed for Tom’s football game.  They were away at another county high school and won 21-0.  Wahoo!  This picture was taken during their team picnic a few weeks ago.

North Point High School Football

Saturday morning I was up early as Tom headed into film and decided to enjoy a long run in the cooler temperatures.  The sun was hot, but the air stayed cool enough for me not to mind the sunshine.  8 miles later I foam rolled, showered, and warmed up some paleo blueberry muffins for breakfast.  While eating I made my grocery list, and watched the latest updates on the hurricane.   I get most of my meal ideas from Instagram or Pinterest and make my grocery list around what I plan to eat for each meal.

Then I went to Target and Safeway to stock up on groceries and essentials.  I’m planning a healthy pantry post for you this week as I feel fully stocked on pretty much all my essentials and I’m excited to share.

Then it was just relaxing and watching some college football for the rest of the afternoon/evening.  We took a break to prepare dinner, grilled wings and some ‘nacho’ style roasted potatoes I just improvised.  And I made Arman’s Chocolate Swirl Protein Cookies for dessert.

Sunday morning I started the day with some yoga.  I did a Grokker video and used our heater to try to create a ‘hot’ room, it was somewhat successful.  After yoga and a Vital Proteins Shake I worked on the laundry, took some pictures, did meal prep, and started this post before needing lunch.  Leftover potatoes with sunny eggs, will that combo ever get old?

Sunday Brunch

We then watched some Football and hung around the house before making my Jamaican Jerk Chicken, rice, and some roasted veggies for dinner.  And remember when I told you I have been craving brownies every weekend, yep they happened again using this recipe for Chewy Fudgy Homemade Brownies.

Looks like a nice weekend! I took an Orangetheory class yesterday that kicked my booty. Hoping to get more yoga in this week.

I haven’t taken Orangtheory in far too long, so good to switch it up every so often.

What a lovely weekend! The long run sounds like it was all kinds of wonderful. I love when the weather is sunny but just cool enough to stay comfortable. The brownies you made look yummy. I’m missing homemade baked goods extra much. I wish my dorm had a fully stocked kitchen 🙂

Uh that’s the hardest part about living in a dorm. We used to make dirt cups or come up with something random in the microwave based on what we could buy at the dining hall market. Just make a baking list for when you visit home 😉

Love Orangethory workouts, have you tried Barry’s Bootcamp? I’m excited they’re coming to my area soon.

What a lovely weekend! I had a great one too and went on a little vacay! I didn’t CRUSH a workout, but I had a good one this morning. It was boiling hot in the gym, so I was super sweaty, which felt good!

Looks like you had a very nice, relaxing weekend. And those brownies… YUM! I love frosted anything.

I did yoga yesterday, too. There’s nothing better than a Sunday yoga session.

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Love ending the week with some stretching and relaxation. And seriously I could just eat the frosting off of everything, but the brownies were good too, hehe.

I literally don’t even walk the dog on Sundays, I refuse. We go to church Saturday night so I can have the ultimate catch up day on Sunday on sleep and meal prep and photographing new recipes! Yesterday was pumpkin coconut flour pancakes!

Yes to ALL the brownies and ice cream. It’s starting to get a bit chillier here at night. I actually wasn’t craving ice cream last night because we took a walk and I was a tad chilly. And that’s shocking for me. lol

Baking was my first love in the kitchen, then I started learning more how to cook. And I love making my way through Sally’s Baking Blog recipes, they’re all SO good! And omg my hot yoga room was not as successful as I wanted it. I’m pre-starting the heater next weekend, lol.
