Yay for Friday! Hope you had a great week and are ready for the weekend. We don’t really have any plans, sometimes those weekends are the best. But be sure to follow along on Instagram for all things Food and Fitness. And now let’s get to some of the things I’ve been loving lately like fancy sprinkles, new desserts, the launch of Bodypump 104 and other Friday Favorites.
I literally want every Sprinkles Medley from the Sweetapolita Sprinkles shop. I ordered my sister and myself some sprinkles for Christmas, and with the holiday rush they didn’t arrive until late December. But I can’t wait to bake a cake or cupcakes and top with these!
While at a Health and Fitness Blogfest over the summer I was introduced to California Almonds. During the conference they prepared some healthy snacks for us and recently sent a sweet gift to all Instructors and Trainers. Almonds are one of my favorite healthy snacks, they’re great because they help keep you full throughout the day. I eat them plain, but also enjoy adding them in yogurt, smoothie bowls, oatmeal or in my Brownie Protein Bites. And how cute is the little tin, I totally stuffed it with some almonds for emergency snacking.
This past weekend at my local gym we launched the Les Mills Bodypump 104 release. I love teaching class with a group of instructors, it’s so fun to be up on stage with others. I taught the triceps, biceps, and ab tracks. While this release isn’t my absolute favorite, I do really like the songs and exercises for back, triceps, and shoulders. Sally’s Baking Addiction
If you have been reading Sweet and Strong for a while you know I’m a HUGE fan of everything on Sally’s Baking Addiction Blog. She does an amazing job explaining each recipe and every dessert I’ve tried always turns out delicious.
She also has three cookbooks and somehow I’ve never bought them for myself. I guess because I’m still trying to make it through all the recipes on her blog. But anyways, my sister gave me her first cookbook Sally’s Baking Addiction for Christmas and I can’t wait to make so many of her recipes. Thinking of trying the Caramel Apple Bread or Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Cookies this weekend.
Chocolate Covered Almonds
Totally into sharing all things sweet with you this Friday. A few weeks ago I made a trip to Trader Joes to pick up some of my favorite things. These Chocolate Covered Almonds caught my eye as soon as I walked in the store. They are delicious and the perfect little something sweet for dessert.
