Hi! You made it to Friday! Maybe you’re even off work today because of the Easter weekend. We get a short Spring break this year and are off through Tuesday. I plan to use the time to be a bit productive, relax, and get out for a little fun, follow along on Instagram. And now lets get to the real reason you came to the blog today, I have a Snack Bar Giveaway to share plus other things in food and fitness I’ve been loving lately for Friday Favorites.
Nosh Bar Giveaway
I first tried Nosh Bars after taking a spin class at CycleBar, I met Michele the creator and was so interested in her story. She created Nosh Bars right here in DC. She wanted to prove that healthy eating can taste delicious and these bars sure do. They are made with simple ingredients such as nuts, seeds, berries, vanilla, and coconut and have clear packaging with the ingredients listed on the front so you can see exactly what you’ll be eating. They really do have #justthegoodstuff.
The bars come in four flavors Chocolate, Peanut, Goji Berry, and Figstachio. I’ve been loving the bars as a mid-afternoon energy boost and the Figstachio is my favorite because… FIGS! You can order the bars online or find them at several other locations around the DMV.
Now for the GIVEAWAY. I can’t wait for you to try Nosh Bars so we’re giving away a variety pack to one lucky winner. Simply head to this INSTAGRAM POST and follow the directions to be entered, I’ll be choosing a winner tomorrow Saturday March 31st. Good Luck!
Beach Body Bootcamp
Currently I teach a 5:45 a.m BodyPump Class at my local gym. For those of you who are in southern MD I’ll be teaching another group fitness class for a six weeks during World Gym’s Beach Body Bootcamp in La Plata. Summer will be here before we know it, and this program will help get you ready. It’s a mix of workouts; strength, conditioning, and barre. Along with two nutrition presentations to help you reach your goals before the season.
I’ll be teaching the Wednesday 7 p.m. Booty Workout. You can find more information on their Facebook Page or visit the gym in person. You don’t need to be a member to sign up!
I first noticed Swapples on Instagram and had been wanting to try them for awhile. They are waffles made with whole fruits, veggies, and spices and are paleo, vegan, and gluten-free. All their waffles are made without sugars, thickeners, and refined flours and have six ingredients or less. They ‘swapped’ out all the processed ingredients for a much healthier waffle. You all know I’m all about real ingredients when it comes to what I put into my body.
I love that they make sweet and savory waffles, so far I’ve tried the Everything and Blueberry. I ate the Everything Swapple with avocado, an egg, and more Everything Bagel Seasoning alongside my Massaged Kale Salad.
And had the Blueberry Swapple with almond butter and extra blueberries.
They also come in Cinnamon, Garlicky Greens, and Tomato Pizza. Click here to find Swapples in a store near you.
This year for Easter Sunday we just have plans to be at the house. I love starting the day with brunch, my Ham and Cheese Strata is always a hit.
Then Tom is hoping to smoke a turkey, weather permitting and I’ll be in charge of the sides for dinner. I haven’t decided what I’ll do yet but probably something with potatoes and asparagus. And for dessert I really want to try to make this Vanilla Naked Cake
If you’re with family this weekend grab a partner and try my Quick and Sweaty Partner Ab Workout.
