Weekly Menu Recap:
Monday: Purple Carrot Meal Delivery Lentil Dahl with a Cucumber Salad
Tuesday: Chipotle Burrito Bowls for Teacher Appreciation Day
Wednesday: Martha & Marley Spoon Meal Delivery Kimchi Pork Burgers with Slaw
Thursday: Breakfast for dinner, bacon from Hancock Family Farms, on avocado toast with micro greens from Rootbound Farms
Friday: Martha & Marley Spoon Meal Delivery Grilled Steak and Vegetables
Saturday: BBQ at a Baby Shower in the late afternoon so we had snacks, cheese, crackers, veggies, and hummus
Sunday: BBQ Chicken with Roasted Vegetables
This week I was given three complimentary meals from Martha & Marley Spoon’s, I got to pick each meal online and decided on the Kimchi Pork Burgers, Grilled Steak and Vegetables, and Hoisin Chicken Cutlets. Martha & Marley Spoon’s is a meal delivery service of some of Martha Stewart’s favorite recipes. You choose your meals from their menu each week then the ingredients arrive pre-portioned to your doorstep. There are plenty of options within the menu to meet any dietary needs and all the recipes use quality ingredients.
My favorite meal so far was the Grilled Steak and Vegetables, the steak was a grass-fed sirloin and was so tender! We throughly enjoyed this meal on Friday night to kick off the weekend. I also can’t wait to recreate the Kimchi Pork burgers and we’re having the chicken dish this week. I honestly have so much fun with meal delivery services as the recipes are usually meals I wouldn’t normally cook and it’s always fun to try something new.
Weekly Workout Recap:
Monday: 30 minute Insanity Workout
Tuesday: Taught a one hour BodyPump class
Wednesday: Taught a 45 minute total body strength training class
Thursday: Did 45 minutes of yoga
Friday: Did an upper body workout, pull-ups, chest press, shoulder press, bicep curls, tricep extensions, and rows.
Saturday: 45 minute lower body workout of squats, deadlifts, bench step ups, single leg deadlifts, and glute bridges
Sunday: 2.25 mile walk with Tom around the neighborhood
Another mix of cardio, strength, and stretching this week. I only wish I would have gotten in a long run since the weather has been nicer I really like taking my workouts outside.
