Hello friends and happy almost Summer! I believe the official start is this Thursday the 21st, but it’s Summer time here because we are out of school, wahoo! If you haven’t already got your AC checked out by someone like WireNut Home Services’ hvac services in Colorado Springs, now is the time to do so to make sure that it won’t let you down when you need it most! Summer also means that you should stay tuned for more blog posts each week including recipes, workouts, and favorite things as my schedule is pretty clear until September.

Keeping the tradition two years strong of sharing with you what’s on my Summer Bucket List, if you’d like to check out last years you can find it here. I love that this list holds me accountable for some of the things I need to do and gives me fun ideas for the weekends. And of course I hope to inspire you all. Be sure to share in the comments below something on your Summer Bucket List!

Dominican Republic Punta Cana Majestic Resort

Tidy up the house; organize, get rid of things, deep clean. I’m currently reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and hope to apply some of Marie Kondo’s tips.

I also hope to read plenty of fiction novels, currently I have What Alice Forgot, A Stranger in the House, and The Favorite Sister on my reading list. If you’re looking for other suggestions I’ve read and highly recommend All the Missing Girls, The Husband’s Secret, and The Family Next Door.

And a few non-fiction novels on my list are, How to Be Everything, Woman Code, You are a Badass, and Body Love.

Spend plenty of time by the pool reading and relaxing. I really require some quiet time and some self-care. I can take up meditation and yoga, though reading books could be meditative in itself for me. I might get a new hot pool constructed within my swimming pool. Maybe that’s what I need right now. But I might have to hire a pool construction company for remodeling and renovation since the swimming pool has been out of use during winters.

The hot pool may also necessitate the installation of a few additional pipes if it is to be constructed in the backyard. Such preparations may be necessary before proceeding with the pool construction. That’s why, before installing the hot pool, I might need to contact a local Plumber to repair and fix all the pipes (new and old) and drainage systems, as I do not want any plumbing issues to arise after the pool is fully installed.

May be, these new additions could distract me for a while. That’s because, the past few months have been so stressful that I am finally ready to put my mental health first! Which reminds me, I would love to try some CBD infused products this summer. I know that a lot of my friends from the UK use Blessed CBD gummies and other CBD products to help them to relax and unwind so I want to see if they can help me to switch off. My friends are always telling about the health-boosting benefits of CBD so I am excited to see how I get on.

So many fun activities! And I love your reading list! As you know, Woman Code is one of my favorites — and I’m well into You Are a Badass right now. Three cheers for summer, Patricia! Soak it up! 🙂

Yes I think I wrote both of those down because you mentioned them. I love sitting and reading now, but used to hate it as a kid, funny how that works. lol.

I love all the things on your bucket list! And thanks for the book suggestions, I will have to check some of them out. This summer one thing on my bucket list is to go sailing and a book I always recommend is White Oleander!

Oh sailing sounds like fun! I don’t think I’ve ever been. And I’ll add White Oleander to my list, was that a TV show too?!? It sounds familiar.

Visit as many state parks as possible, tour the Cornell Botannical Gardens and their Ice Creamery, visit Hershey Gardens and, of course, the Hershey Chocolate Factory, play outside with my grandson and settle in my new apartment. Have a great summer everyone!
