Last week I traveled on Thursday to Ohio for one of my girlfriends bachelorettes.  We stayed near Hocking Hills in a cabin for the weekend.  The host organized Giant Eagle Catering meals, which worked perfectly since there were 20 girls staying in the cabin.  It was a  nice break from cooking for me, but of course I get excited to get back into the kitchen.

Monday: Salmon and Roasted Vegetables
Tuesday: Grilled Chicken Shish Kabobs with veggies and rice

Desserts last week were my Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites and we had Nice Cream (nitrogen ice cream) on Sunday night to beat the heat.

Weekly Workout Recap

Uh well last weeks workouts aren’t too exciting since for one I hurt my back the previous week and have been trying let myself heal.  It worked out well though because I was also traveling I didn’t have a chance to hit the gym anyway. I so however always try to at least get out and walk around a bit when traveling.

Monday: Took a 45 minute Spin class at World Gym
Tuesday: Taught a one hour BodyPump class
Wednesday: 2 mile walk
Thursday: Did this 30 minute yoga video
Friday: Rest
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest

    Hi lady! Sorry to hear about your back pain! A very common injury, and not a fun one. You should probably do some quadruped exercises on all fours — try the opposite arm and leg lifts, and even wagging the dog (look it up ahhaa), also some hamstring stretches. The key is to keep moving, even if you are avoiding tougher exercise. Hope it feels better soon!

      Thanks for the tips Ashely! I’ve been feeling a lot better, but still taking it a bit easier so I don’t injure it again. Definitely been doing a lot of stretching and walking in the meantime 🙂

    I love knowing what other people are eating. It gives me inspiration to make new meals. When you live on your own sometimes it’s kind of easier to make a simple meal and eat whatever. I want to work on trying new things.

      I totally agree that when you’re on your own, you know what you like so you make the same thing all the time. It’s fun and exciting to try new things though. Let me know if you give any of these a try 🙂
