Hello and Happy August, the official last month of Summer. While all our Summer traveling has come to end I still have lots to accomplish on my Bucket List before we head back to school. The last week was a wet and rainy one until the weekend hit. Which is always kind of a bummer because I love cooking outside. Alright lets get right to all the food and fitness.
Weekly Menu Recap:
Monday: Salmon with roasted vegetables
Tuesday: Summer Bolognese from the Half Baked Harvest Cookbook
Wednesday: Channa Masala from the Oh She Glows Cookbook
Thursday: Fresh Chicken Sausages from Mom’s Organic Market with peppers, onions, and potatoes
Friday: Burgers from Hancock Family Farms on a Silver Hill Bakery Sprouted Bun and broccolini
Saturday: Grilled Pizza Night on the Traeger
Sunday: Jamaican Jerk Chicken, cilantro lime rice, and roasted brussels sprouts
For Desserts we had Chia Pudding and a Healthier Peach Crisp (recipe coming soon).
Weekly Workout Recap:
This weeks workouts was a great mix of weights, cardio, and yoga which is always what I aim for. I consider yoga an active rest day, but I wish I would have taken one day off completely. Sunday is usually my rest day but It was also fun to take a Flywheel class (read my review of Flywheel here) with my sister since it’s been quite sometime since I visited the studio.
Monday: 2 mile run/walk and some lower body exercises
Tuesday: Taught a one hour BodyPump Class
Wednesday: Taught a 30 minute total body weight training class
Thursday: Took a one hour yoga class at World Gym
Friday: Did this 30 minute yoga video
Saturday: Did a one hour BodyPump video
Sunday: Took a 45 minute Flywheel Class
