Need some meal and workout ideas? Here is my food and fitness week in review for the week of August 13th through August 19th 2018. Be sure to read previous Food and Fitness Week in Review’s here and tell me in the comments below your favorite meal or workout from the week!
It’s the last week of Summer Break for me this week. Hoping to soak up some time by the pool and get a few more things done around the house before it’s back to work. Next week will be all about the meal prep and I plan to share a few meal prep tips and recipes on Facebook and Instagram. So be sure to follow along!
Weekly Menu Recap:
Monday: Copycat Chipotle Burrito Bowls
Tuesday: Sushi out at Hunan Star
Wednesday: Grass-fed Ground Beef Burgers and Roasted Vegetables
Thursday: Salmon with Roasted Vegetables
Friday: Breakfast for Dinner
Saturday: Pizza out at Rucci’s and ice cream at Twin Kiss for dessert
Sunday: Jerk Chicken Thighs, cilantro lime rice, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts
For dessert we had these Healthy Peanut Butter Cups that are so delicious we easily go through a batch a week. So I also made my Healthy Cookie Dough Bites for a sweet treat towards the end of the week.
Weekly Workout Recap:
As usual a mix of some cardio, weight training, and walking or yoga for active recovery. I did two group fitness classes on Tuesday because I wanted to try BodyFlow. Les Mills BodyFlow is a mix of yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates. Overall I think it was a complete workout and I really enjoyed it, my abs were so sore from some of the pilates moves. But I probably wouldn’t do it back to back with another workout again since it’s a bit more than just light stretching.
Monday: Taught a 45 minute Cardio Conditioning Class
Tuesday: Taught a one hour BodyPump Class and took a one hour BodyFlow Class
Wednesday: Taught a 30 minute Total Body Weight Training class
Thursday: Took a one hour Yoga class and took a 2 mile walk
Friday: 2 mile run/walk followed by some stretching
Saturday: Launched BodyPump 106 at my local gym
Sunday: Took a 2 mile walk
Thanks for reading the blog today! Have a great rest of your week!
