Hello and Happy Friday! Any fun plans this weekend? Tom’s football team has their first scrimmage of the season I’ll attend tonight. Then we’re launching BodyPump 106 at my local gym Saturday morning, get ready for an intense release! We only have one week left of Summer break before teachers return to work, boo! I’ve been soaking up all the relaxation time by the pool and shared a few of my favorite reads so far from the Summer in this post. I just finished The Girl Before which was a great suspense book about two girls that lived in the same house and dated the architect that designed it. The book follows their story to uncover the mystery of the girl he dated before each of them. Another great suspense book I enjoyed was The Woman in the Window. And if you’re looking for a lighter read I also finished When Life Gives You Lululemons which is by the author of The Devil Wears Prada and is Emily’s story after Runway. I would highly suggest all three!
New Quest Maple Waffle Protein Bar
I’m a sucker for anything maple flavored! While These Maple Waffle Quest Bars don’t beat CCCD and Birthday Cake in my opinion, they weren’t too bad. I think Tom enjoyed them more than me, so he’ll probably finish the box we were sent to try. I find that I can’t always finish a whole bar either and will sometimes just have a half and my stomach feels satisfied.

Healthier Peach Crisp
Switching gears to a healthier dessert. My recipe for a Healthier Peach Crisp was published on Pure Taste Recipes last week. It’s made with simple and better for you ingredients and of course the fresh and juicy peaches. The perfect Summer dessert in my opinion.
