Happy Wednesday! Even though at these times it feels like there are only three days of the week; today, yesterday, and tomorrow. I hope this post finds you and your families staying healthy and staying home. When we were first told we were going to be out of school I knew I would need to create some type of a routine to stay sane. There is so much that needs to be done when you are working/doing school from home, first and foremost, a strong internet connection is definitely a must! Especially with everyone hopping on for important things, it is no wonder that people have been checking out viasat internet plans and other internet services to see which one will suit their work and home life, I can almost feel the internet wires vibrating from here. Even though teachers are used to being off routine in the summer, this feels much different. Having and nursing an 11-month-old also definitely helps me with a schedule because I know she also needs one. So for today’s post it’s a What I Ate Wednesday with keeping a schedule while staying home. Here is everything we did and ate yesterday (Tuesday).

6:15 a.m. Wake-up: Now I AM a morning person so I don’t mind getting up and having an hour to myself to go through email and start this post while sipping a cup of coffee.

7:00 a.m. Audrina is waking up so I go in and get her. Then she nurses and I make her some breakfast. She LOVES Dave’s Killer Bread with some avocado or peanut butter.

8:00 a.m. Time for me to have breakfast. I still love a morning smoothie, today’s combo was with collagen, my new favorite protein, almond butter, spinach, banana, and frozen mixed berries. Read why I love my smoothies and how to make them keep you fuller longer here.

Simple Ways to Boost A Smoothie

8:30 a.m: Then it was time to get cleaned up from breakfast, dressed, and ready. We also Face timed my Mom for a bit. Then I nursed Audrina again to make sure she was full so I could get in a workout. Tom and I take turns working out and watching her.

10:00 a.m. Workout time, a Barre3 Online Workout, using the free 14 day trial

11:15 a.m. Shower and nurse Audrina for ‘lunch’.

12:00 p.m. Then get lunches around for both of us. She finished her avocado toast from the morning along with some black beans, carrots, and apple and squash puree (practicing with these spoons). I had avocado toast with some scrambled eggs and a side salad. Then we clean up lunch and get ready for nap.

What I Ate Wednesday

12:30 p.m. We read two stories and then Audrina is down for nap. I get in some work for school and get dinner started because it needed to cook in the crockpot.

2:30 p.m. Audrina is up and we both have afternoon snacks. She nurses and I had some mixed nuts and a kombucha.

3:00 p.m. Time for our family walk. We go two miles around the neighborhood, since staying home we have gone almost everyday and are so thankful for the nice weather most days.

4:00 p.m. Home from our walk. Finish up some work as Audrina plays in her play area. I also use this time to do one ‘chore’ around the house whether it be something that regularly needs to be cleaned or something I can organize. Today it was to clean out the humidifiers. Likewise, there are days, when we clean out the dishwashers and the refrigerators. Honestly, we believe that it is crucial to clean home appliances at regular intervals, otherwise, the dirt buildup might cause them to malfunction, thereby leading us to opt for Appliance Repair Services. Hence, we try to be as spotless as we can be with regard to our indoor areas and our electrical appliances. Who would want to spend unnecessarily? At least, not us!

Anyway, coming back to the topic, 5:00 p.m. Audrina nurses for ‘dinner’ and then I finish getting dinner together. I cooked the chicken for this Chicken Enchilada Bake in the crockpot with the Homemade Enchilada Sauce. Then just had to cook the veggies and assemble. So that Tom and I can cook in the kitchen we usually have Audrina ride around in her walker and will put on some kid shows for her. She JUST started getting into some of them, only if they are colorful and with songs of course, hehe.

6:15 p.m. Dinner time. And Audrina enjoyed Taco Tuesday with some chicken, black beans, avocado, red pepper, and sweet potato. Then two frozen banana slices in a mesh feeder because she is definitely getting some teeth coming in. After dinner I usually sit and play with her for a bit and Tom cleans up. She usually does not like to be alone at this time probably because it’s so close to bed, who knows.

7:00 p.m. Start bedtime routine. Bath, Read, Bed for baby girl.

7:45 p.m. Audrina is asleep and I eat two of these Oatmeal Cookies and have a cup of tea. Usually at night we read, watch, a show, or get caught up on any work.

Props to ALL the parents out there with kids that are trying to juggle working from home, homeschooling, and watching their kids now. I know this all seems so crazy, here we are just taking it one day at a time and trying to enjoy the extra time with the baby girl I usually wouldn’t get. And we are so thankful for all the health care, grocery store, and essential workers that are going out everyday to keep the rest of us with everything we need <3

    Everything you made sounds so yummy! A schedule is so important right now and I’m sticking to my usual with working from home sprinkled in during the morning and afternoon. Here’s to the light at the end of the tunnel!

      Yes Amanda, praying there is light at the end. And while I’m all worried about our schedule I know there are so many families struggling right now. So I do try to count my blessings. Stay well friend!
